This is good advice even for used sections...legs get bent, filled with
bugs/dirt, etc.
IMO, everything that can be, should be test fitted on the ground.
BTW, I bought ten brand new Rohn 45 sections in 1988 and even though they mated
just fine, the zinc flashing on the bracing was so severe it threatened to cut
off finger tips. Though tedious, I removed it all.
