I have only used one 4 element Gem Quad. It was at the VY1JA
site in the Yukon. I can tell you from experience that this
is the best antenna I have ever used. I own a TH6-DXX, the
biggest I have owned so far. Many friends of mine have used
the 2/3 element ones, they all say they are good antennas.
The only on air comparison I have ever done was the 2 elem.
Gem at a friends and a 5 element 15 meter antenna at my place
about 15 miles away. I could hear stations my friend couldn't.
Gem at 48 feet, 5 elem. Wilson at 35 feet. Computer modeled
sizing for the Wilson.
What does this prove? 5 elements beats 2, and I have a better
LOCATION (is every thing) than he does. Maybe.
