A few months back, I released a graphical output package for IONCAP called
PropView -- it includes (installs and configures) the IONCAP engine, and is
available via www.qsl.net/propview . PropView interoperates with DXView, so
you can specify a path by simply clicking on DXView's world map. Its all
free...

After reading the review in QST, I bought and have been using the
Rockwell-Collins PropMan 2000 program, and I like it a lot. Seems to be
accurate, and has been a great timesaver for me. At $99, though, it
certainly wasn't free. The all-time world's best ham helper program for me
has been "DX Atlas", which I think was $29 to register as shareware.
However, it won't help with off the cuff propagation predictions.
