My tower has a tapered Rohn 25AG2 top section. I am
going to put a Force 12 5BAD on top with a 8 element 2
meter beam 12 feet above it and a comet 2/440 vertical
at the apex. The tapered top section will not take
the Rohn thrust bearing but I could put another rotor
plate inside the tower with a thrust bearing. The
rotator is the M2 OR2800. would I be better replacing
the tapered top section with a Rohn 25AG4 flat top
section which takes a thrust bearing? My top guys are
at the 80 foot level in the middle of this top section
of my 85 foot tower.
Sincerely,
Steve Sala
