I don't think you read my whole message.  Modeling with NEC has been used
to compute the effect of aircraft carrier superstructure in the vicinity of
antennas, so I don't think what you describe is out of reach.  But I wasn't
suggesting that, only that you could combine pure antenna modeling with
terrain modeling and get a good starting point for antenna experiments.

I have my entire one-tower station modeled in EZNEC/NEC-2.  It is
perilously close to the maximum segments allowed by my modeling software,
and I am not entirely comfortable with the fidelity of some of the
components of the model, but I would sure use it as a starting point for
assessing new additions to the total system.  Wouldn't you?
