Hello all. Take the following scenario:

-A house on a plot of land that's about 10ft above sea level at the most
but has no ground level salt water anywhere in the vicinity

-The house has a balcony at the very top where one could mount a
commercial vertical antenna such as the R7000

-The house also has an area where the vertical could be mounted at
ground level but doing so would place it closer to trees, the house,
etc. and might make it more difficult for it to see the horizon

My question is this: would it be better to place the vertical at ground
level, up on the balcony, or does it not really make a difference? In
other words, with the R7000 on 10-20m would one lose anything by placing
it relatively high above ground as opposed to on the ground when that
ground is roughly 10ft above sea level?
