A brief update: I worked a few local (US east coast) stations on 80M
SSB over the past couple of days with my shunt-fed Trylon tower. Reports
from most stations are 5-6 dB better (TX and RX) than the inverted L, just
like on 160M. It's a keeper. (Other close-in stations say the L is louder,
though. So it's a keeper, too)
