I think I have this right:
BIP BOP is a coax switch abbreviation for "Both In Phase - Both Out of
Phase" referring to having two vertically stacked antennas. I think
usually it's a 4 position switch. The full name is:
"Top - Bottom - BIP - BOP"
or
"Upper - Lower - BIP - BOP"
This swich fairly obviously controls where the power is sent to the
combination of antennas - either to the upper one or the lower one or both
of them, either in phase or out of phase. This is a total of four choices
for your two antenna stack.
