This made me wonder whatever happened to the wide open spaces of the old west?
I guess the sheep farmers and their fences finally won the range wars;-)

Paul, are the interwoven/intertwined wires insulated from one another, or
are they touching?
If they are touching, the whole thing probably looks like the equivalent of
a continuous strip
conductor at 3.6 MHz. In this case, breaking it up into non-resonant
sections should
help. If the wires strands are insulated from each other, then it gets a
little weirder, I
suppose. But even so, if individual wires double back such that their fields
cancel, then
they won't have the same effective length as a linear conductor of the same
total length.
I would give it a try, but then again moving the fence might be less work
:):) YMMV.

this is a steel wooven inter-twined fence with wires spaced apart about 5-6
inches on both sides and tops and bottoms........thus there are several
combinations of possibilities of resonant lengths within shorter sections
even if the length of fence itself is cut and insulated in non resonant
sections-...................
