Here in Thailand most of the domestic electric supply is from two wires,
line/phase and neutral. Our house is no exception. There is no ground
brought on to the property from the electric company. At the main
breaker panel in the house we have a ground connection tied to the
neutral. This ground disappears into the floor and I doubt that it is
anything substantial. The main breaker panel is located almost in the
middle of the house on the ground floor, actually in a cupboard under
the stairs. All outlets in the house are 3 pin US style, supply is 230v
50 Hz.

When I install my earthing system I intend to use a copper wall entry
plate bonded with 6" wide copper straps to the external earth system
which will be a ring of 8' earth rods surrounding the property all tied
together either with strap or 120mm2 cable, whatever I can get. The
intention is to tie the tower into this as well.

My question really is what to do about the house electric earth. Do I
just connect this to the wall entry plate or do I need to make better
provision? Any sugggestions welcome. We get typically 60+ lightning days
per year, so I'm told.
