On my 130 ft high 80M dipole, I use a short center insulator.
To connect the ladderline, I cut out one of the center blocks,
leaving the insulation on the wire, run the wires through the
holes in the insulator, then strip the ends and wrap them
around the antenna wire where it is wrapped back on itself
and solder (silver solder is best). The line comes straight
down where and is tied to a tree stump a few few above
ground with nylon cord.  I've had only one break in several years.

Another idea I've seen uses a flat rectangular insulator
(I forgot the specific material) with 4 holes, one at each
end for the antenna wire, and two on the bottom for the
ladderline.  Each hole has a small thimble to relieve the
stress in the wire.  The wires were clamped back on each
other with some kind of small clamp.
