Which is better: Undisturbed earth that's damp most of the time, or dryer earth that was "disturbed" 20 years ago when it was placed as fill in my back yard? Actually, I haven't seen any mention on TowerTalk of concern for the water content of earth, just that it be "UNDISTURBED"...but it seems common sense that a higher water content would make the earth around a tower base less supportive... can anyone enlighten me on this?
