John:
TriEx Towers in 1992 sent me a TB-2 "flange thrust bearing" (unknown if
it was Rohn or not since I didn't see a name on the bearing and it
wasn't identified on the sales invoice from TriEx by manufacturer) with
my WT51 crankup tower that has worked like a champ since. Only thing
unusual was it had 4 bolt holes and the top section of the WT51 only has
3 holes in a triangular shape, but it fit the three bolt holes with one
left over hi hi. TriEx sent at least 1/2 or 3/4 inch diameter bolts to
secure it and its never been a problem. About once a year I need to
lower the tower, lock it down and get an extension ladder and climb up
with a grease gun and regrease it. It sometimes takes nearly an entire
small tubes of grease from my greasegun before it oozes out and I turn
the bearing as I'm squeezing the grease gun handle to distribute the
grease throughout the bearing. The bearing turns easily when greased.
Even when I forgot one year and waited two years to regrease the
bearing, it still turned with little effort.
