Hi Stew: Well, I admit that I don't always wear a hard hat up the tower it is still a very good idea. I use a "Shock Guard" hard hat. These are a fair bit lighter than the usual plastic ones, and are good to 64KV. They can be fitted with a chin strap (there are two tabs with holes in them) that you can get at any safety supply house. I get mine from work (I am a power lineman) as they need to be replaced every 5 years on the job. See you later Peter VE6YC |
