Once when I looked at the 4 element 20 meter beam it was TOTALLY covered with birds... a picture was taken and over 200 were sitting on it... quite happy to have a place to hang out together it seemed!

I haven't found any dead bird sin the yard yet - but I have found fish skeletons on the flat plate at the top of the tower (honest, I really have)

... guess at 100 foot plus it makes a nice place to dine - HEAH - we should kill all the birds because they are killing the fish!

Society is so friggin' out of hand...

In all my years of ham radio hobby, owning several towers, albeit small ones 50
to 70 footers, I have never found a dead bird at the tower base. Rather, I
enjoy watching the birds that come in to my feeders and then perch on the
antennas and sing! Antenna make a great bird sanctuary.
