The 24 foot length of 2" OD x 0.25" wall plus one cardboard shipping tube

Since almost all Aluminum alloys have a specific weight of about 0.1 lbs/cu in, 45 lb seems very close. to check, the weight of a tube is:

wt. = Pi x Diameter x length x thickness x specific weight (all dimensions in inches)
or
3.1415926 x 1.75 x 24 x 12 x .25 x .1 = 39.58
with the box weight, that's close to 45 pounds
