Hi All,
he tower base described 4ft X 4ft wide X 8ft deep does
not seem wide enough. Tower manufacturers Rohn U.S.
Towers etc., all show baseing layouts, Also Ham Radio
catalogs have baseing layouts in them. The hole
should be wide enough for the forms, the forms can be
pre-made and placed in hole using the backhoe, Spray
inside of forms with kerosene, make sure your wife
does not have the laundry out. When the forms is in
the hole it needs to be braced in the hole as well as
on top. Next the rebar cage can be placed in the hole
useing the backhoe. The anchor bolt frame and anchor
bolts are placed on top of the concrete frame, secure
with nails or screws, make sure to check hight of
anchors. Tape over anchor treads or use old garden
hose to protect them. Now you are ready for the X
number cu. yd. 3500lb concrete.
