In a world where recognition for personal talent, and a job well done,
is to infrequent, I would like to openly thank (and take a moment to let
tower talkians know about) Barney Scholl K3LA.
I was looking at a property for a new QTH, found one, and knew that
legal advice would be critical to a good outcome for future antenna
projects. I contacted the ARRL whom supplied me a list of attorney
counsels. I picked the closest one whom turned out to be K3LA.
>From the start and right through to today's closing Barney was there
every step of the way making sure all the issues were examined and that
all bases were covered.
While the details will have to wait for an article in NCJ or QST let me
just say that K3LA is a great choice as a counsel, and our hobby is
stronger for his experience, humor, and presence.
Thanks Barney!
73, Scott W3TX
PS. To anyone planning on buying a new QTH...do yourself a favor and
contact the ARRL to find an attorney in your area with antenna support
structure experience. You would be surprised how many issues there are
to deal with these days when planning an antenna installation!
