There were two similar questions on this topic,
one had a hazer, the other did not.

One man's opinion:

Towers on roofs are a bad idea.  It costs as much
to support the weight and seal the roof as a couple
tower sections...maybe more.  

My biggest objection is lightning ground.  I would prefer
to have lightning have a solid path to ground, around my
house.  

At the same time, it can be quite easy to build a house 
bracket from wood, and bolt it to the house.  Sturdier than
Rohn...and it gives you an easy ladder to the roof. For short
ones, If you hinge the base for foldover, you can use the house attachment
as the tie point for a block and tackle....
