I have been thinking about installing a 8-9 foot high roof tower for a hf
yagi. It seems to be the also viable solution without having antenna
overhang across the property line.
The Glen Martin roof towers windloading capability certainly seems
impressive enough. Are they self supporting or must they be guyed? Their
catalog seems to be a bit vague on that point. Also, how much mast can be
above the thrust bearing and reasonably maintain the rated windloading
capability?
Perhaps this information is addressed in the assembly instructions. Is
there someone that has recently installed a Glen Martin Roof Tower who can
share their knowledge and experience?
Thanks for your help.
73, Rob...
