        Simple!  Go into the Elements menu, and enter an
X for each element you want fixed.  I didn't want to mess
with my KLM log-cell for several mechanical reasons, so I
simply fixed those two element positions and optimized what
remained...I'm sure glad you didn't ask me now to model the
tapes in a SteppIR!
