It depends on where you live.  You can pick up a VFR aeronautical
"sectional" chart for your area. They have the Isogonic lines that show a
constant magnetic deviation.  There is a line down through "I believe"
Wisonsin and south where magnetic and true north are the same. OTOH there
are areas in the lower 48 with as much as 17 degrees difference.  There are
areas with more but they tend to be associated with magnetic anomolies (Much
of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan).  Since I first started flying in 1963.
Magnetic North has moved about 6 degrees in the Central Michigan area.  It's
moved far enough the charts that came with my astronomical telescope are no
longer useful for polar alignment.
