I have a TX-455 that I am finally getting ready to use (after almost two
years of distractions).
Silly question: Can I crank it up while it is laying on its side (on a
sawhorse under the end of the bottom section, not completely on the
ground). It seems this way would be easier for cable lubrication, zinc
patching, etc. I thought about tying a rope to the bottom of the two
"crank up" sections to help pull them down.
There are a few surface rust spots. I assume it is best to scrub and spray
the spots (with a zinc spray) as soon as possible.
