the N connectors for those hardline cables are more expensive
than 7/16 Din connectors here in Europe.

Pete,
One word that I have never heard in the same sentence as "7/16 DIN" is
"inexpensive"! They _are_ available for all major cable sizes, but if I
had to deal with an existing one on the end of a cable (for amateur
service), I'd lop it off and re-terminate with N connectors. Much
cheaper in the long run.

Has anyone had any experience using 7/16 DIN connectors on 1/2 inch
Andrew
hardline (LD4-50A). How about on RG-213 size coax? I am trying to
figure
out a relatively inexpensive way of mating the Andrew to RG-213 jumpers
at
each end.
