Hi Pat:
The grounding photos are excellent. Most cell site specifications call for
#2 tinned solid copper wire. On occasion, some carriers will use a 4/0
stranded ground ring with #2 tinned bcw for ground leads; however, that's

. There are thousands of installation and material photos pertaining to
tower construction, many of which show grounding applications along with
exothermic welding.

Folks,
I posted some as-built photos of a Cell Site tower and rack foundation under

construction near N6IJ.  Many of you expressed an interest in seeing this, 
for ideas of the ground system deisgn, and cadwelded connections.  The 
conductor running between cadwelded rods, is solid, tin  plated copper, 
guage unknown.  The photos are on the web at:
