I just received a quote from polygon for 1000 feet of black 3/8th polyrod in
coil form. $670.00 per coil and $500.00 set up charge. This does not
include shipping. If anyone would like to add to this order, please get
back to me within the next two weeks. I will request another quote with
shipping direct to anyone who adds on...........W7IJ
I believe you can avoid the set up charge by having a a 5000 ft order. There
was not a setup charge when we put the orders in for the last two years.
By the way, you must have a pretty heavy duty tower like Rohn 65 or something
along those lines, since the maximum recommended guy wire for Rohn 55 and
below is only 5/16. If you are using it to guy those towers, you will have to
tension it at the usual 10% which would make it around 1500 pounds or so on
each
guy...in excess of what is recommended for those towers.
