Not really. It all depends on the direction they are from
each other and how the elements behave on the unused band.
With proper planning we can detune elements on one antenna
for the radiation from the other array, even when they are
very close together. I'm sure you could put one array right
inside another array if you did things right. That assumes
you don't do something nasty for interaction, like use
resonant elevated radials.
You'd want the 80 meter elements to look like they were
directly grounded right at the antenna elements on 40
meters, and the 40 meter elements should generally be made
to look open to ground on 80 meters.
