Well, he should really cut the 75 ohm cable to a multiple of
1/2 wl on the band or bands he intends to use it on.

Otherwise assuming a perfect 50 ohm load the mismatch
appearing in the shack could be as high as 2.25:1.

Many rigs and amps don't like 112 ohm load impedances.
