I had the 704 and it was absolutely the worse purchase I ever made.  They 
forgot to add all the aluminum (elements) for the warc bands and insisted they 
did and made me give up the 40m parts so I could get the aluminum I paid for in 
the first place.  Once up it was a mediocre performer at best, poor F/B, 
intermittent SWR and it did not last more than 4 years in our Indiana winters 
and winds.  My personal advice is stay away at all cost.
