Recently I posted about the problem I was having with the defective LMR400
Ultraflex cracking, and how times was going to send me 450 feet of really nice
upgraded stuff.
Today, I received an email saying that they did not have any of the upgraded
really nice stuff in the 400 size, but would send it the upgraded stuff in LMR
600. I know the regular 259s do not fit the 600 stuff, so I would need to
get 30 UHF fittings for the LMR600 and I told them that.
They have agreed to supply 30 of the UHF fittings for LMR600 for free if I
want to take the LMR600 stuff. The problem is, I have never worked with
installing the fittings on LMR600. I can do the PL259s in my sleep, but am
concerned
that the LMR600 UHF fittings might be a major pain.
Has anyone messed with these and if so, how much of a pain are they?
