erectors - one of the smallest sectors of the construction industry -
averages about 460 deaths per 100,000 employees.

Compared to other dangerous jobs, Tower work is the most dangerous job in
the world.
I climb commercially and never take shortcuts, know and plan your
work, better yet take a safety course. Invest in the best equipment; keep it
in perfect condition.... You get the picture.

That's not really a sidenote, that's a *life or death* point about
harnesses in general.
Use a REAL harness and not a "belt".
Never, never use a "climbing belt" as your fall protection when climbing a
tower. That's a good way to end up dead for many reasons (no rescue points,
putting thousands of pounds of force on your pelvis, etc.).
Do it right OR DON'T DO IT!
