I meant less capability at the top, less square feet of antenna on top. Like
the old Rohn 6 54-footer I looked at yesterday, bottom section a regular Rohn 6
section except 20' long (my old Rohn 6 tower when I was a teenager had 10'
sections), then a section that fits inside that, then another section inside
that, ending up at about maybe 6" face. Can't be more than a foot or two
windload of capacity on top I'd say. Fine for something really small or only
cranking it up when there's little or no wind. For Field Day maybe, attached
to a trailer, which could be cool. Or on a camper, so you could camp out at
the ocean and put up a tribander.
