Replaced all the standoff insulators,on my 18HT with ..water pump clamps fed
through 1" PVC, shaped to the tower edge, then drill a hole the pefect distance
off the tower into the end of the pvc. Also notched or elongated the outer edge
of the hole in the pvc, a tad, so the screw (see below-1) would slide through.
Then feed the element up through the hole.
-1....Also removed all the clamps on the elements, and replaced them with
narrow flat SS self taping screws, so the screw head can now also fit through
the hole in the pvc...
