I've never been a big fan of changing out rotors either.  That's why I  
oversize my rotors to the job.  Don't expect a Ham 4 antenna to rotate a  the 
10-12 
square feet of antenna it's rated for.  Don't expect a T2X to  handle 18 
square feet even though it's rated for 20.  If you do you WILL be  up and down 
the 
tower quite a bit if do it.  Make sure all connections  are good 
ones...weatherproofed.
