Will be interesting to get a little more information
abouth the failure in the tower that cause to break at
the middle,  sound like small tower or rusted by
inside  some section.

i just work in a small 3 sections rohn 25 very old
sunk in concrete  roof (very smart move)  and all the
top sections are very soft that you can push a screw
driver with no effort thru, looks just a small spots
of rust , but the sound was  very diferent " like soft
wood"

the tower was located in the top  a silo at 120 ft
high.

removing the bolts i found  full of rust metal and
oxidation debris inside.   scary to climb.

to prevent this kind of accidents , inspections are
always a must before  performing any work in a unknow
tower.
