Gene and John,
My mind is going south at times. I meant grade 8 bolts. However, HD does not
always carry an ample supply of them. OTH, Ace has them but at a higher cost.
I just retired from HD after a two year stint (retail proved to be too much).
Prior to that I was a Verizon engineer for 36 years and retired in 2003.
I have used the grade 8 hardware on three crank-up towers and never lost
sleep. I currently live near Boulder, Colorado and erected a Hy-Gain HG54-HD
motorized tower with nine bolts holding the beast up.
Do the right thing and get some sleep!

If you are concerned about strength, you might want to consider GRADE 8
bolts, which are much stronger than the 'normal' grade 5.
Both ACE and HD have these in stock. . . .
