IMO not true. It´s like this, NEC-2 code has problems
with close spaced wires and wires close to the ground,
MININEC can handle situations like this better.
However the MININEC code has some other problems that
could foul things up.
Some program makers has done corrections to the MININEC
code, one example is the program "Antenna Model".

PS: Best ofcourse is NEC-4 code but it is expensive.
