TT:

I'm considering changing out my GP-15 and D40 on my tower this spring
for some V/UHF Yagis. I used Frank Travanty W9JCC's article on tower and
antenna wind loading (QEX July /Aug 2001) as my main reference for the
calculations. Based on the methodology in that article, I'm well within the
safe limits of my Trylon T-500-64 tower and CM mast, even at 90 mph winds,
for my proposed antenna configs.

However, I think I recall a recent posting here (within the last month
or so) that warns about a math error in Frank's article. Did I recall
correctly? Or was that some other article that has error(s)? The archives
are no help in that there are so many recent postings on tower loading (kind
of like drinking water from a fire hose.)

     Thanks for any help here.
