The vise/crescent wrench technique worked very well, and the big grips sure
are great.  Two of us without prior experience prepared six complete sets of
leaders carefully in short order. Appropriate big grips and hardware were
used, and when the climber is here hope the philly end will go as well.

The quick answers are appreciated, as we were ready to work, but concerned
how to spread the thimbles without damage.
