Joe,
I have had both and currently have an "A" model. The plain has black/grey
cabinet (matched the SB line) and knurled knobs while the "A" had a brown
finish (matched the HL and last HW line) and smooth knobs. Electrically, they
both are equal, IMHO. I liked the plain better because the knobs fit my meat
hook hands better and seemed smoother.
I have worked the "A" version into an Alpha-Delta 160-80-40 sloper at 250 watts
with no arcing. It should take a full-gallon without getting warm. Note well
that the correct match must be obtained before applying maximum smoke.
You should really enjoy the tuner. Another note: The bypass position has a
separate coax jack so hook something to it if you intend to use this feature or
you will get a nice surprise.
I previously had a Drake MN-2000 which performed great but lacked dual metering
and 160. The SA-2060A filled the bill. Good luck.

Tommy - K6YE
