You comment doesn't really deserve an answer as you are stating the obvious. The only thing you didn't mention was 1 element on a 34 foot boom. You are obviously using a SteppIR and I revert to my earlier statement: don't call my kid ugly.

Yagi performance is a function
of boom length, not the number of elements.

There are limits to this generalization and it all depends on your
definition of performance. Two elements on a 34' boom (for 20M) will not
have good gain or F/R. With three elements you can get good gain (>9.4 dBi)
or good F/R (>20 dB), but not at the same time. Your statement is correct
if you are only discussing the difference between four or five elements
(maybe six also, but I can't think of a good reason to do that).
