I'm using one on 20m and wishing I had one on 30m! I think it would
be a good antenna for 30m but you should probably also look into
driver-director yagis because the band is so narrow that even a close
spaced yagi might be a good choice... just a thought.
When I've thought about what sort of big DXing hardware I'd like
someday down the line a Moxon for 30m has crossed my mind.
Aluminum tubing construction is probably better from a long term
durability especially with regard to ice and lightning strike
survival, but the fiberglass spreader and wire type is cheap and light
and slim enough that it would be really useful for towers where you'd
be pushing the windload and weight capacity...
I have the 20/17m antenna on a 30' homebrew rotating mast turned with
a TV rotator, so a 30m version would be a simple addition to a tower
with pretty much any real rotator, I'd expect.
