Interesting-I was at kl7aiz when the ham installation was setup (1950/1951).
This was in a building, can't remember if it was a quonset hut, down by the
water which we called "clam lagoon". During early 1951 we moved from the
quonset huts up to the large dormitory like buildings. I have photos of the
ham station if anyone is interested.
At that time we had no rhombics for ham use.

OK, I'll bite. How well does it work I used a rhombic up at KL7AIZ that
was 500 feet per leg, terminated at the far end.. That one loaded on all
bands and was dynamite. A rhombic at this QTH is not feasable.
