If you know where the line is, you can usually call the local utility 
and ask them.  They're called "transmission lines" in general (as 
opposed to the "distribution" at medium voltage in your neighborhood area)

Searches/maps are a bit dicier.  In California, the CalISO website has 
information, but you have to dig for it.

http://www.energy.ca.gov/maps/TRANSMISSION_LINES.PDF shows a statewide 
map.  Once you know which line, you can dig to find the details.

googling things like "<statename> transmission line capacity" might turn 
up details too.

You can also guesstimate by looking at the lengths of the insulator 
strings and height above the ground.
