TGhe polystyrene spacer used to hold the coil in place will melt and
distort under conditions which cause the coil to heat much above
ambient.
I wouldn't run RTTY through it above the rated power, though I ran CW
through one with over 400 watts that only distorted the coil when I
failed to notice the SWR had changed drastically.
