Hi all,
If there's one thing we know in VE4, it's winter.

We've always recommended our locals lube their rotators with white lithium
grease.

Generally, for those who keep their rotators in good repair, it's only on
those really, really cold days (-44C) that the rotator slows even the
slightest.

John is right, you only need a bit of lube -- as long as it stays on the
bearings. You certainly don't want oil sloshing about like in your car.

Now, for a really important question, given that we're here and not in the
thick of WPX: anyone know how to artificially excite the ionosphere? Don't
know about you, but this weekend's MUF seems to have been just a hair over
20 meters.
