I found an antenna on a drive in the country yesterday, I took a picture
of the installation, but because of the bad light it didn't turn out
very good. Basically here is a description, a center pole approx 40 feet
tall with insulators at the top, with wires running up along the pole,
then out to at least 6 sloping radials in a circle around the pole.
The antenna system appears to be fed from the bottom of the vertical
wires around the pole, that is to say each of the at least 6 elements
has it's own vertical wire running up the pole, to the top insulators
then down to a termination insulator half way down at an approx 45
degree angle, then an additional wire after the insulator attached to
another shorter post (about 10 feet high) where it is attached. Does
this make sense to anyone here? If not, let me know and I will post my
not do good picture via a link.
Thanks and 73 Ryan
