There is a an auction website called 'UShip' where one can put up a job and 
let shippers, i.e., folks with trucks and/or trailers. bid on the job.

I used UShip to find someone to transport a new 5th wheel trailer from 
Virginia to Illinois.  The job came in under my maximum bid.

Might be worth a shot.
