I recently asked the same question of Butternut in an e-mail. The VX was made with shorter tubing lengths so it could be shipped via UPS without oversize charges. After UPS changed their size rules the VX ws dropped. Some stores still advertize it as a VX (HRO and possibly others)but it is an HF6V.
