Don't rule out the noise could be outside your system.
Find a mobile and check the neighborhood.
Big noise on 80, from the local BC, that two of us three miles apart, could
hear. The BC was between us and one mile west.
Called the station engineer and he knew what to fix. Hour later, no more noise.
Something in the exciter chain of the TX went wonky.
